The main Services of this Department are:

1. To evaluate public opinion and attitude with respect to policies, methods and personnel of the department.
2. To advise the Commissioner of Police with regard to public relations aspects of new or revised departmental polices, procedures and activities.
3. To plan and carry out informational activities designed to keep the public informed about Police activities.
4. To stimulate activities that will influence public support.
5. Additionally, the department monitors the conduct of Police Officers with a view to initiating disciplinary proceedings if allegations are supported, or to resolve issues between the Police and the public.
