The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the St Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society (SVGRC), the French Red Cross (FRC) and the Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department of the European Commission (ECHO) will host a National Consultation to present the revised National Volcano Emergency Plan (NVEP), for the La Soufriere Volcano.
The objectives of the consultation are:
- To familiarize all stakeholders with the updated document
- To obtain from you clarification and agreements on assigned roles and responsibilities
- To become oriented to special provisions for alert and warnings, transportation, evacuation, emergency
communication and shelter management issues
This consultation will take place in September, 2014 at the Methodist Church Hall. The opening session will commence at 9:00 a.m.
The revised (draft) plan will be presented by consultant, Mr. Jeremy Collymore.
