Pre-Employment Requirements for Entry into the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force

All prospective candidates must:

1. be medically fit.
2. not have a criminal record.
3. have English Language and Mathematics, which are compulsory.
4. take an entry test and screening.
5. undergo a medical examination, including blood and vision tests.
6. be of good conduct.
7. be interviewed.
8. be the holder of academic certificates with minimum passes:
   - Five (5) G.C.E O'levels Grades A - C or
   - Five (5) C.X.C subjects - General Proficiency - Grades 1 - 3
9.  take a written entrance examination covering Dictation, Mathematics, English Language and General Knowledge.
10. be of Vincentian citizenship.
11. have physical agility, which includes a height requirement test.
12. be between the ages of 19 to 30 years.
13. be of a height 5' 8" and above.
14. be subject to a comprehensive background check looking into past employment, character profile and criminal record.
