According to information from the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services, at 11:00 a.m. today, 5th September, 2017, Hurricane Irma was located near 16.8°N,58.4°W or about 230 miles east of the Leeward Islands, and is moving westward at 14 mph. Maximum sustained winds are now 180 mph.
A Small Craft Warning and High Surf Advisory for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will be in effect from 6:00 p.m Monday 4th September, 2017 through to 6:00 a.m Wednesday 6th September, 2017.
At 11:00am today, Tropical Storm Irma was upgraded to a Category 2 Hurricane. Hurricane Irma was centred near 16.9°N...33.8°W or 1845 miles East of the Leeward Islands.
