The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), with the support of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), and the United Nations International
Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), will host a three-day workshop to develop the five-year Country Work Programme (CWP), for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The objective of this workshop is to formulate programmes and a plan of action to implement the national and regional priorities of the Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM), Strategy, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the National Economic and Social Development Plan of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2013- 2026. The workshop will be facilitated by consultant Ms. Gayle Drakes.
The Country Work Programme will be developed based on the gaps identified during the recent CDM Audit.
The workshop will take place during the period 28th - 30th August, 2018 at NEMO’s Conference Commencing at 8:30 a.m. each day.

The Comprehensive Disaster Management Audit was conducted in July, 2018, with national stakeholders, to review the National Disaster Management Programme (mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery). The Audit assessed Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' progress in implementing the Comprehensive Disaster Management Strategy and the UNISDR Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
The CDM Audit was conducted by face-to-face interviews with the consultant, and the results were reviewed, and validated with stakeholders, during a Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM), Audit Verification Workshop, which took place on Tuesday 14th August, 2018.
