Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service (SVGCGS) will hold a closing ceremony for its Annual Youth  Development Summer Programme on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Coast Guard Base in Calliaqua.

The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m. The programme was held in collaboration with the Bank of Saint Vincent and Grenadines, SVG Port Authority, Sagicor Life Incorporated, and Wind and Sea Tours Limited. It was geared toward uplifting our youths and catered to participants between the ages of 14 and 18. This year’s programme was held under the theme "Shaping our youths for life’s high seas".

Certificates will be presented to the participants. Remarks will be delivered by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John, Commanding Officer at the Coast Guard, Mr. Deon Henry, and a representative of the sponsors.

The keynote address will be delivered by Constable, Ms. Felicia Glasgow, a graduate of the fortieth (40th) passing out parade of recruits and a former participant of the SVGCGS Development Summer Programme.

All attendees are strongly advised to wear a facemask and sanitize their hands.
