Cloudy skies and shower activity with gusty winds are forecast this afternoon - Thursday, 27th October, 2022 (in the Grenadines) - and by evening/tonight over the mainland. Showers, gusty winds, and isolated thunderstorms are forecast for Friday and some scattered showers around Saturday and Sunday.

Model guidance is indicating a little over 50mm of rainfall during the next 3 days. Residents and motorists should exercise caution.

Thursday: Cloudy skies, hazy conditions and showers are forecast to continue across the Grenadines. Haze should thin out and an increase in cloud cover and shower activity is anticipated across the mainland by evening/night as a fresh (~35km/h) east south east (ESE) wind flow moves across the islands bringing moisture from the south.

Friday: Generally cloudy with showers and chance of isolated thunderstorms as that fresh south easterly wind flow continues, coupled with a tropical wave being in the vicinity.

Saturday & Sunday: Scattered showers, possibly increasing around the nighttime, as the tropical wave continues to affect the islands.
Winds will blow generally from the south backing to east on occasions at 20km/h - 35km/h, with higher gusts. A decrease in wind speeds is anticipated around Saturday to about 15km/h - 30km/h. Seas are forecast to be moderate in open waters, with swells peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts and peaking at 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to exercise caution. Slight improvement is expected on Saturday (0.5m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coasts). In addition, there should be no significant haze intrusion from Friday.
