The Pan against Crime Committee (PAC), in collaboration with the National Commission on Crime Prevention (NCCP), the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), and the Ministry of National Security, will officially hand over a quantity of steel pans to the St. Clair Dacon Secondary School on Friday, May 24, 2024.

The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 1:00 P.M. on the school grounds.

During the handover, brief remarks will be delivered by Hon. Frederick Stephenson, Minister of the Public Service, Consumer Affairs, and Sports, and Parliamentary Representative for South Windward; Ms. Lou-Anne Thomas, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security; Ms. Eve Knights; and Mrs. Kay Martin-Jack, Chief Education Officer, Ministry of Education and National Reconciliation.

The Pan against Crime Initiative was launched on February 20, 2008, by Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister and Minister of National Security and Tertiary Education. The overarching objective of the initiative is to utilize the steel pan to steer young people away from a life of crime and other nefarious activities. Genesis Steel Orchestra will provide entertainment during the event.
